Safari Highlights
Mabamba Swamp:
Mabamba swamp is located on the fringes of Lake Victoria towards western Uganda. Mabamba swamp is famous for birds especially ‘the Shoebill’ which is known to occur in mainly four countries i.e. Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan and Zambia but it is best seen at Mabamba swamp in Uganda. You can access Mabamba wetland from either Kampala or Entebbe by car or by boat from Entebbe. The drive to Mabamba from Entebbe or Kampala takes approximately one hour depending on the number of stops birding. You need to leave your hotel really early to beat the traffic and also before the heat from the sun is too much which reduces bird activity. You can access the swamp by boat on from Entebbe, once you arrive you leave the speed boat and join the canoe to access the possible location of the shoebill.
Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park is a compact gem, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. This attractive 158 square miles acacia-dotted savanna of Olea and Boscia is home to 68 mammal species. The Park contains an extensive area of wetland and harbors several species of mammals, including zebra and impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck
It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and underlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. It is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, with around 315 bird species include the rare Shoebill Stork and African Finfoot.

DAY1: Arrival at entebbe Airport
Today you will Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked up by Xavier safari driver/guide and he will welcome ,exchange pleasantries and brief you. Then he will drive you to the guest house located3.5km/2.1 miles from Entebbe International Airport.

Day 2:Mabamba Swamp adventure
This morning after breakfast your drive guide will drive you to Mabamba swamp which is located in Mpigi district on the fringe showers. Mabamba swamp is a home to hippopotamus, tilapia fish and lots of bird species and not to forget the famous Shoebill stock that attracts hundreds of tourists from allover the world This exclusive shoebill stork is one of the rare to see birds in Africa and is one of the famous birds of Uganda to look out for on your Uganda safari. The name of the shoebill stork was derived from its shoe-shaped bill which also gives it a large head hence being referred to as a “King whale-head, Upon arrival you will be briefed by Mabamba swamp local bird guide, then after briefing you will board onto the locally hand made engine boat and sail in search of wildlife within Mabamba swamp. this activity ranges between 1.5 hours to 2 hours. after Mabamba Swamp your driver will be then transfer you to Lake Mburo national park a home to animals like Buffaloes, Impalas, Zebras, Elands, Warthogs Giraffes , leopard and Hippos, via the equator in Kayabwe Mpigi District, the equator is approximately 46 kilometers from Mabamba swamp by road. You will experience one of the warmest temperatures while at the Equator as you position yourself in the middle of the world. don’t forget it’s a coffee and craft shopping center. here you will witness a water experiment to show the rotation of the rotation of the earth and it gives rise to an effect that tends to accelerate draining water in a clockwise direction in the Northern hemisphere and counterclockwise in the Southern hemisphere. After the equator you will continue your journey to lake Mburo national park, arriving to the lodge late evening.

Day 3:Lake Mburo National Park
This morning you will wake up and get ready for breakfast. After breakfast you will go for a morning nature Game game walk with a park ranger to look out for zebra, giraffe, buffalo, impala and leopard then after the game drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch. after lunch you will checkout of Rwakobo Rock lodge and your drive/guide will transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Activity: Morning Bush walk& afternoon game drive
Day 4:Bwindi- Gorilla trekking.
This morning after your sunrise breakfast, your driver/guide will take you to bwindi rushaga gorilla reception center for the gorilla and forest briefing. after briefing the ranger will alocate you a gorilla family you will trek. The trekking takes time between 4 to 8 hours depending onthe location and movement direction of the mountain gorillas. after gorilla hiking you will head back to your lodge for a a relaxing time viewing the beautiful scenery of bwindi forest and the terraced gardens of the local communities.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national Park
As the sun rays penetrate the high hills of Bwindi forest you will wake up for a hot breakfast, later after breakfast you will checkout of Bwindi and your driver/guide will transfer you to Ishasha sector Part of Queen Elizabeth famous for the tree climbing lions, Topi, Elephants buffaloes, Uganda Kob antelope and lots of bird life thus a picnic lunch at the camp site with a view of the school of hippos at Ishasha river. later in the afternoon you will head to the lodge for dinner and a good night sleep.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National park
This morning you will wake up before sun rise, have break fast. then your driver guide will take you for a game drive at Kasenyi area, you will look for animals like Elephants, Kobs, lions, leopard, waterbuck Buffaloes, and lots of bird life, you will visit one of the salt lakes during the game drive, after the game drive, your driver guide will take you for a boat cruise on kazinga channel. during the boat cruise you will see lots of hippo schools, Elephants and alot of water birds by the channel. this boat cruise is very good not to miss it. it’s the highlight of the day.
Day7: Transfer to Kibale National Park
Wake up to the melody of the savannah bush bird life and mammal sounds, go have breakfast then after breakfast you will head to kibale national park , a home to primates like Chimpanzees, red and blue duikers, bushbucks, sitatungas, bush pigs, giant forest hogs, common warthogs, and African buffalo. The carnivores that are present include leopards, African golden cats, servals, different mongooses and two species of otter. on arrival you will check in at kibale forest lodge for lunch. after lunch you will go for a bigodi swamp walkRich in biodiversity and scenic beauty, the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary is a must visit. A 4,5km long walk will take you through this important bird life like the Black-crowned Waxbill, White-spotted Flufftail, White-breasted Negro finch, Yellow-spotted Barbet, Black Bishop, Hairy-breasted Barbet, Bocage’s Bush-shrike, Yellow-billed Barbet, Brown-crowned Tchagra, Black & white Shrike-flycatcher, Western Nicator, Superb Sunbird and primates like Red colobus monkey, baboons, black & white colobus monkey, blue monkey grey cheeked, mangabey, vervet monkey, red tailed monkey and the L’Hoest monkey. After the walk you will head back to the lodge for dinner and good night sleep

Day 8: Kibale national Park- Chimpanzee Trekking.
Today is best day ever, after todays early morning breakfast, Your driver guide will transfer you to Kanyanchu tourist briefing center for chimpanzee trekking briefing, after briefing You will then be allocated to a chimpanzee community and your ranger guide will lead you on the trek in search of this great ape. Watch the chimpanzees in their natural habitat, as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor, feed, play and rest. After chimpanzee trekking you will go back to the lodge to relax

Day 9: Transfer to Murchison falls National park
This morning you have your breakfast and embark on a transfer journey to Murchison Falls National Park one of the most visited parks in Uganda, best known, though, for the most powerful waterfall in the world. Every second, the equivalent of 200 bathtubs full of water is forced through a gorge less than seven paces wide. The pressure is so great that the ground trembles around it. the park is a home to animals like Giraffes, Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Bushbucks, Elephants, Hartebeests, Oribs, waterbucks, warthogs, hyenas, Hippopotamus, lions, leopards and habitant for birds like Abyssinian ground hornbill, African jacana, African quail finch, Black-billed barbet, Black-headed gonolek, Black headed lapwing, Blue-headed coucal, Denham’s bustard, Eastern grey plantain-eater. Giant kingfisher, Goliath heron, Malachite kingfisher, Palm-nut vulture, Piacpiac, Red-throated bee-eater, Shoebill, Silverbird, Speckle-fronted weaver, Squacco heron, Swamp flycatcher, White-browed sparrow-weaver

Day 10:Murchison falls National park
Before sun rise this morning you will wake up , have hot breakfast, after Breakfast your driver guide will take you for a morning game drive to look for animals like Lions, leopards, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Bushbucks, Elephants, Hartebeests, Oribs, waterbucks, warthogs. And some birds like Speckle-fronted weaver, Squacco heron,
Goliath heron, Malachite kingfisher, Palm-nut vulture, Piacpiac,Blue-headed coucal, Denham’s bustard and many more, after gam drive you will have lunch at the lodge then after lunch you will go for a boat cruise on victoria Nile to look for animals like Nile crocodiles, hippopotamus and the great Murchison falls later retun to the lodge for dinner and a good nights’ sleep.

Day 11: Ziwa Rhino/Transfer to Entebbe
This Morning you will have breakfast and transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary a home to the white Rhinos living freely in the wilderness, on arrival your driver/ guide will register you and later you will be briefed by the sanctuary ranger guide. after the briefing you will head for a rhino trekking on foot with a ranger. after rhino trekking, you will continue your journey back to Entebbe

Day 12: Entebbe
Today morning you will wake up , have hot break fast, then after breakfast your driver/ guide will take you to test and fly laboratory for a Covid PCR test at your own expense( results in 6 hours) your driver guide will be with you until your flight check in time then he will drop you at Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
