The climate of Africa is a range of climates such as the equatorial climate, the tropical wet and dry climate, the tropical monsoon climate, the semi-arid climate, the desert climate, the humid subtropical climate, and the subtropical highland climate. The Sahara is the world’s largest hot desert, covering 8.5 million square kilometers (3.3 million square miles), about the size of the South American country of Brazil. Defining Africa’s northern bulge, the Sahara makes up 25 percent of the continent.
There are seven factors that affect weather including temperature, precipitation, humidity, cloudiness, visibility, pressure, and winds.
Much of Africa lies in the tropics; the equator strikes the continent approximately mid-center. And tropical climates in general have two seasons, a wet season and a dry one, rather than the four-season regime typical of temperate climates.
Mali The title of the hottest country in the world goes to Mali. The West African country experiences a predominantly hot desert climate, particularly in the northern regions, while the southern parts have a semi-arid climate that receives very little rainfall.
Uganda: has been rated at number one in Africa for having the best weather in Africa, then Kenya came in second after Uganda, then South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Johannesburg, a major city in Gauteng province situated in Southeastern Africa, has experienced intermittent snowfall over the years. Meanwhile, the Drakensberg Mountain range in South Africa receives enough snow for skiing during winter. The Atlas Mountains receive the highest amount of snowfall in Africa.

The Nile is the longest river in Africa. Its length is around 6,650 kilometers, and its drainage basin covers 11 African countries. The river Congo is the second-longest river on the African continent, having an approximate length of 4,700 kilometers.
Rwanda has been placed as the most cleanest country in Africa . According to Rwanda’s national park, Nyungwe Forest National Park, Rwandans are intentional about keeping their country clean. The national park further states that items such as dirt can easily harm the environment.
The Congo river, formerly known as the Zaire, is the deepest river in the world: at some points the water can be up to 220 metres deep; the basin has a surface area of 3,457,000 square kilometres.
