 Detailed Itinerary below:

Day1: Arrival to entebbe airport

This is the day you arrive at Entebbe International Airport which is the principal International airport of Uganda. It is located about 6 kilometers southwest of Entebbe town, on the northern shores of Lake Victoria. Upon your arrival Xavier safari’s driver guide will be at the arrivals exit waiting to welcome you  and transfer you to the Guest house located in Entebbe town.

Note: Please inform Xavier safaris if you are already in Uganda so that the driver guide picks you up either from Kampala or in Entebbe where you will be residing.

Destination: Entebbe town

Day 2:Transfer to Jinja town

This morning you will have breakfast at 6am, then  your driver guide  will transfer you to Jinja town south eastern Uganda, on the shore of Lake Victoria. You will have a stop over to Mabira rain forest famously known for receiving rainfall all year round, having the oldest and realest tree species, having most virgin parts-areas that have never been affected by man’s activities, home to endangered animals. It is a home to 316 bird species, 219 butterflies, 97 moths and 35 species of small mammals such as Duikers, Bushbucks, Squirrels, Red-tailed Monkeys, and the Uganda Mangabey a primate which is found only in Uganda. After this tour you will head to jinja to catch the  motor boat to go visit the source of the Nile. you will spend a night at the rift of the Nile.

    Day 3: Transfer to Sipi falls

 Today you will wake up early pack your bugs, go for breakfast at 6 am, after breakfast your driver guide will transfer you to  the slopes of mount Elgon arriving to check check in at Rafiki lodge then have early lunch and after lunch you will go for the famous for coffee garden tours and edge of Mount Elgon National Park. The coffee garden tours are of the most awe-inspiring sights agricultural practical lesson in Eastern Uganda. After the coffee garden tour you will head back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 4:  Sipi falls-The falls hike

Today you will wake up early for Breakfast  and and later a local guide will take you for hiking to see the falls, Sipi Falls is a series of three waterfalls in Eastern Uganda in the district of Kapchorwa, northeast of Sironko and Mbale. The waterfalls lie on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park near the Kenyan border. After the hike you will head to the lodge for lunch, after lunch, you will relax  admiring the views of Karamoja eastern rift valley.

Day5:Transfer to Murchison falls National Park  

This morning you will have breakfast at 7:30 am, your driver/guide will be ready to transfer you to Murchison Falls national park well known for it’s most powerful waterfall in the world. Every second, the equivalent of around 300 cubic meters per second 11,000 ft³/s forced through a gorge less than seven paces wide you will have a short stop to  visit and trek the white southern rhinoceros at ziwa Rhino sanctuary. After Rhino trekking you will proceed to Murchison falls national park, Uganda’s biggest park with lots of wild life, like lions, Leopard, orib, buffaloes, water bucks, jackal, hippos elephants, kobs, giraffes, Jacksons hartebeest, hippos and lots of bird bird life, you will arrive to the lodge and have the whole Afternoon to your selves by the swimming pool over looking the local communities across Albert Nile

Final destination: Murchison falls National Park

Day 5 : Murchison falls National Park

This morning you will have breakfast at 6am,after breakfast  your driver guide will drive you to the park for a morning game drive to look for Elephants, oribi, Jackson hartebeest, leopard lions, kobs and many more mammals, you will have lunch at one of the lodges located in the park. after lunch you will be transferred to the pier to catch the afternoon boat ride to view schools of hippopotamus, a bask of crocodiles, the bottom of the falls and lots of water birds. After the boat ride you will head back to your lodge, making sure you exit the park tracks before 7pm.

Day6:Murchison Falls- Delta tour

 As the sun rises this morning you will have breakfast, and after breakfast your drive guide will transfer you to the Delter boat pier to catch your boat to cruise along Victoria Nile delta, a 20km voyage downstream from Paraa, the Delta  is a home to schools of hippopotamus, basks of Nile crocodiles and the famous rare wetland birds including shoebill and papyrus endemic species. After the delta boat cruise you will have an afternoon game drive to look for mammals like, Elephants, Oribi, Jackson hartebeest, lions, leopard, Uganda Kob, Buffaloes, giraffes and beautiful birds like; Abyssinian ground hornbill. Black-headed lapwing. Grey crowned crane. Common. Senegal thick-knee. and many more, After the game drive you head back to the lodge for dinner and a good night sleep.

Day 7:  Transfer to Kibale Nationational Park.

This morning you will have breakfast at 7am and later checkout of Murchison river lodge and out of the national park and your driver guide  will transfer you to kibale national park a home to chimpanzee, forest Elephants red and blue duikers, bushbucks, sitatungas, bush pigs, giant forest hogs, common warthogs, and African buffalo. The carnivores that are present include leopards, African golden cats, servals, different mongooses and two species of otter.

Final Destination: Kibale National park

Day 8: Kibale forest – Chimpanzee trek

This morning you will have breakfast at 6:30am, then after breakfast, your driver guide will transfer you  from the camp to kibale forest national park for an amazing chimpanzee trekking. The park does protect moist evergreen rain forest. It is 766 square kilometers in size and is located between 1,100 meters to 1,600 meters in elevation. Despite encompassing primarily moist evergreen forest, it contains a diverse array of landscapes.  The park hosts mammals that are found within Kibale National Park include chimpanzees, red and blue duikers, bushbucks, sitatungas, bush pigs, giant forest hogs, common warthogs, and African buffalo. The carnivores that are present include leopards, African golden cats, servals, different mongooses and two species of otter. by 8:30 am you will start the trek which will last between 2 hours to 4 hours, this depends on the location of the chimpanzees. After chimpanzee trekking you will have lunch at the lodge and after lunch  you  check out of kibale forest lodge and head to Queen Elizabeth National park

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park

As the sunrays peeps far from the endless horizon, the sweet melody of the savannah birds i believe you will be on your way for breakfast, after breakfast your safari guide will be ready to take you to Kasenyi savannah plains of the park to search for lions, Elephants. water bucks, Uganda Kobs, the shy leopard shall be waiting to host you for  a photographic style shoot. after the morning gam drive you will head for lunch at a nearby restaurant over looking Kazinga channel, this, after lunch you will head to the pier to board a boat to cruise along Kazinga channel in search for schools of hippos, basks of crocodiles, lots of bird spies.

Final Destination: Kasenyi savanna plains

Day 10: Queen Elizabeth National Park-Ishasha Sector

Everyday is different s this morning you will have break fast at 6:30 am, after breakfast, you will check out of bush lodge and your driver Guide your driver guide will drive you to Ishasha south west of Queen Elizabeth National Park which is notably recognized for its resident “the Tree climbing lions” that are an exceptional attraction and one among the highlights on all safaris taken within Queen Elizabeth National park. In the southern section of this park, the Lions are now and again spotted hanging on branches of huge fig trees whereas the, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Topis which are the major food to these lions graze in the plains of the Ishasha sector. other animals found in this sector are leopard,

herds of Elephants, Topi, schools of  hippopotamus at Ishasha river, s. after the game drive you will head to Buhoma north of bwindi Impenetrable forest national park.

Final Destination: North Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-Buhoma Sector

Day11: Bwindi gorilla trekking

This cold morning, you will have hot breakfast then your driver guide  will take you to the park for briefing and about the regulations for the gorilla trekking after briefing, your ranger forest guide will lead you in to the deep jungle for the gorilla trekking hiking activity bwindi forest.  This excursion will take between 3 to 6 hours to encounter a habituated Gorilla family. Besides gorilla trekking, bwindi impenetrable national park forest also offers a remarkably wide range of things to see including, the Bwindi 350 bird species, 310 butterflies, 200 trees species, and 120 primates including, the Black and White Columbus monkeys. Once you come face to face with these mountain gorillas you will be allowed to be with them for  only one hour as you watch them play, feed, jump from one tree to another. Take as much photos as possible and you will  have your picnic lunch and head back to the park headquarters. Principally hikers will love the trek in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. But overall, this will be a unique and unforgettable experience! After the gorilla trek, you will be given a certificate for succeeding a gorilla trek in Uganda/bwindi, meet your guide and transfer back to your guest house for relaxation and refreshment

Day12: Bwindi ride for a woman( meet the locals)

This morning you will have breakfast, after breakfast you will meet Evelyn Habasa and her husband Denis Rubalema. The organization exists to support local women struggling at home with issues associated with HIV, domestic violence and poverty. Evelyn and Denis will introduce you to the expert members of the Buhoma community to weave baskets from grass collected from the hills of Bwindi Impenetrable forest, you will Sit on mats in the gardens of  the ride for a  woman and they will get you started showing you the skills needed to weave.  Once you are confident, you are then free to create your very own African souvenir, which you can then take home. This relaxing activity gives you time to sit and interact with local Ugandan women within their own community, nestled among the misty hills of Bwindi, home to Uganda’s mountain gorillas.

Final Destination: Buhoma

Day13: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

This  morning you will have breakfast at the guest house, then after breakfast you will check-out and your driver guide will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi a “Place of many little birds

Day 14: Lake Bunyonyi-Activities

Wake up and take your breakfast as you prepare for a day full day of fun. The first thing to do is listen to the beautiful sounds of birds in the morning. The lake has an amazing collection of birds including the African harrier, egrets, grey crowned cranes, hawks, herons, levillant cuckoo, Rufus breathed wryneck, weaver birds and the white tailed blue monad among many others. After breakfast your boat cruise guide pilot will be waiting for yo at the pier to take you to tour and visit some of the 29 islands of lake Bunyonyi, like Akampene (Punishment island): Regarded the smallest island on the lake and yet one that is most memorable. Akampene island holds a morbid history of a tradition that was upheld for quite a long time by the local people. Young girls who got pregnant before marriage were taken to this island and tied to the one tree that sits on the islands to at one for their transgressions. As times changed, this tradition was ignored and regarded as an outdated ancient tradition. then you will continue to another island called Kyahugye Island: Considered one of the most exciting islands, here there are a number of animals you can see. The Island is home of Zebras, Waterbucks, Impalas and a lot more. For a mini version of a game walk, with a view of the glittering sun-kissed waters at a distance and fresh breezes, an hours’ ride will be a perfect addition. These animals were introduced to the area and lastly you will visit Bushara Island: For a closer look at the birds around this area, you have to check out Bushara Island. Carry your binoculars and long-lens cameras to be able to get the best of the experience. after the boat ride you will go on a hike and later return to the resort. for lunch and have an afternoon to your selves you can swim in the lake.

Day 15: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

This morning you will have breakfast over looking the lake, after breakfast you will check out of overland resort and your driver guide will transfer you to Lake Mburo National park. Lake Mburo National Park is a national park located in Nyabushozi County, Kiruhura District near Mbarara in Uganda famous for Impalas, Zebras, hippopotamus topi, Elands. upon your arrival you will check-in to Rwakobo Rock lodge, have lunch and rest for a few hours and by 3pm your driver guide will take you for a game drive to look for mammals like zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck. And It’s a home to 350 bird species like African wattled lapwing · Bare-faced go-away bird · Black-bellied bustard · Greater painted-snipe · Saddle-billed stork.

Final Destination: Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 16:  Lake Mburo National Park

Wake up early this morning to have hot tea or coffee, then later your driver guide willdrive you to the park gate to meet the park ranger who will take you for a morning nature walk on foot to look for animals like

zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and

giraffes, after this morning nature walk you will head back to the lodge for break fast, and have the whole afternoon at the swimming pool.
